Powered by a Volvo Penta D3-150 diesel engine (150hp, 5-cylinder), it achieves a maximum speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots. The hull, a V-bottom single-chine design, is built with mahogany strakes over marine ply, sheathed for durability, and features a rounded tumblehome transom. Framing utilizes Douglas Fir, with bulkheads in marine ply and decking in teak strips over ply.
